Catholic Bishops urge President Buhari to take urgent measures to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians.

Catholic Bishops have also called on President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to take urgent measures to alleviate the sufferings of poor Nigerians in the face of the prevailing economic recession.

At a meeting in Akure Ondo state, President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, IGNATIUS KAIGAMA disclosed that the body of Bishops have already met with President BUHARI concerning the plight of ordinary Nigerians and the state of the economy.

According to KAIGAMA, the Bishops extracted a promise from the president to act quickly.

The Bishops also cautioned the president to eschew sentiments in the running of the country and provide an environment of equity and justice for all Nigerians.
