Nigerian Army to deploy Ten Thousand troops in the Niger Delta in 2017

The Nigerian Army is to deploy ten thousand troops in the Niger Delta in twenty seventeen.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TUKUR BURATAI who came out with this said so far the government had deployed three thousand military personnel as part of the Operation Crocodile Smile in the region.

General BURATAI who was speaking in Yenagoa while visiting Bayelsa state, Governor SERIAKE DICKSON said the Operation Crocodile Smile was to prepare the army against external and internal aggression.
