Ibrahim Idris appointment as the Inspector general of police is ratified by the national council of state

The National Council of State has ratified the appointment of IBRAHIM IDRIS as the Inspector General of Police.

This means the Inspector General now only needs a confirmation by the senate.

At the council of state meeting, presided over by President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, the appointments of six National Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and five for the National Population Commission were ratified.

Briefing newsmen later, the Jigawa State Governor, WAHEED BADARU said the council unanimously agreed on the ratification of the appointment of IBRAHIM IDRIS as Inspector General of Police.
