Enugu state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi names a retired Brigadier General to lead a special security committee to tackle herdsmen issue.

In Enugu state, Governor IFEANYI OKOWA has named a retired Brigadier General to head a special security committee to tackle the issue of Fulani herdsmen in the state. 

A statement said Brigadier General FRED EZE will work with some members of the Enugu state executive council, members of the State House of Assembly and representatives of security agencies in the committee.

 The statement said further that the decision to set up the committee was in response to the frequent menace posed by herdsmen in Enugu state.

 Recently, a catholic seminarian and a housewife were killed by rampaging herdsmen who attacked a village in Atakwu community in the state.
