AHMAD SALKIDA, the Nigerian journalist taken into custody on Monday, weeks after being declared wanted by the army, has been released.
SALKIDA was released on Tuesday evening by the State Security Service, more than a day after he was arrested at the airport in Abuja.
The journalist who was declared wanted on August 14 alongside two others was accused of aiding Boko Haram with authorities also raising issues about the way he was sourcing video recordings from the sect.
He, however, denied the allegations when quizzed by SSS officials.
He was released without conditions, and all documents and devices confiscated from him were returned.
