Tottenham midfielder, Christian Eriksen has signed a new four-year contract at the north London club.
The 24-year-old Denmark international is understood to have increased his basic wage from £35,000 to £70,000 per week- making him one of the club’s top earners.
The playmaker had two years left to run on the five-year deal he signed when he joined from Ajax in 2013.
Reports of a contract wrangle in several national newspapers, including demands from the player for as much as £150,000 a week, were recently slammed by Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots.
Spurs are also understood to be in discussions over new deals for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and defender Jan Vertonghen, whose contracts expire in 2019 and 2018 respectively.
