Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy has given a bizarre explanation about his summer decision to reject Arsenal and stay with Foxes.
The 29-year-old was a key target of Gunners Boss, Arsene Wenger as the London club triggered his release clause for a deal worth 22 million pounds after a stellar 2015/2016 season which won Leicester their first ever premier league title.
“In my professional life, it was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but I haven’t been a professional for that long. It was hard, but it was actually an easy decision to make. I am not going to beat around the bush – every time I thought about it, both my head and my heart were saying to stay at Leicester, which is why I made my decision to stay.
”There were loads of reasons every single thing down to the tea lady. You think about what might happen, what might not. Every time I thought about every little thing, both head and heart were saying ‘you need to stay’.’’he stated.
The reigning champions are ninth on the log having picked up four points in three games of the 2016/2017 season.
