Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho and his Manchester City counterpart, Pep Guardiola have been included in the shortlist for the Premier League manager of the month of August.
They are joined by Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte and Hull’s Mike Phelan, whose side has made a surprisingly good start to the campaign.
Mourinho, Guardiola and Conte have guided their respective teams to 100% records in the league, while newly-promoted Hull won their first two matches of the season, before falling to a last-minute goal by United.
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia, Hull’s Curtis Davies and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City have been nominated for the players’ award.
The winners will be decided by a combination of votes from captains of Premier League clubs; a selected panel of former footballers and managers; and the general public- who can cast their votes via the Premier League’s Twitter handle before the September 5 deadline.
