Two remain trapped in Abuja building collapse.

Two construction workers remained trapped under the rubbles of a building under construction which collapsed at the Gwarinpa District in Abuja yesterday.

Six other workers, who were inside the building before it went down were however rescued by a combined team of officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Fire Service, the Nigeria Police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.

This is the second building collapse in Abuja in about a week, last Wednesday a building cam down in Apo Mechanic Village.

Acting Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Hajiya SAFIYA UMAR explains that the building was standing on a flawed plan, blaming the Federal Housing Authority for giving the approval.
