Rashford score late winner to give United win over Hull

Marcus Rashford announced himself in the Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United with an injury-time winner to sink a brilliant Hull City 1-0 at the KCOM Stadium.

The 18-year-old – making his first appearance of the season – came on as a substitute to direct home a Wayne Rooney’s cross to spark wild celebrations on the away bench.

United came close to scoring through Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Paul Pogba but they met a resilient Eldin Jakupovic who made lots of brilliant saves until he was finally beaten when Rashford tapped home from a squared Rooney pass in stoppage time.

It was a deserved win for United who alongside Chelsea are now the only Premier League sides with a 100% record from three games, with Manchester City – who have two wins from two games – playing West Ham on Sunday.
