Nigeria’s national basketball team, D’Tigers kept alive their hopes of advancing into the quarter finals of the Olympic Games with a 90-76 victory over Croatia.
D’Tigers were brilliant from three-point range, shooting 17-36 from behind the arc, while Croatia struggled with their three pointers, making just six from 28 attempts.
Nigeria also out-rebounded the Croatians, with Ike Diogu grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds to add to his 10 points on the night.
Michael Umeh provided an offense spark, putting up a team-high 19 points- including 18 from three-point range.
D’Tigers will play host nation, Brazil in their final group match, needing to win to stand any chance of progressing into the quarter finals.
