Elder Statesman and Ijaw National Leader, Chief EDWIN CLARK, has lashed out at former President OLUSEGUN OBASANJO saying he was the most corrupt ex-president Nigeria had ever produced.
CLARK, the one time Commissioner for Education and Federal Commissioner for Information made this known while addressing reporters at his Warri, Delta state residence.
He was speaking in response to a recent write-up which accused him of not speaking against corruption during the administration of former President GOODLUCK JONATHAN.
He revealed that he has always been in support of the fight against corruption, recalling how he challenged OBASANJO for having just N20,000 when he left prison but is now one of the wealthiest former Presidents in West Africa.
EDWIN CLARK also spoke on the role he played in the conviction of JAMES IBORI, former Delta state governor, who is currently serving a jail term in London, in a bid to prove his stance against corrupt politicians adding that those who criticize him are unpatriotic.
