Edo State Governor, ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE has ‘torn to shreds’ a book written by his former Commissioner for Transport, OROBOSA OMO-OJO, describing it as an assembled tissue of lies.
The book titled, “Breach of Trust”-‘an eyewitness account of political events in Edo state before and under ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE’s watch’, described his administration as a “mob government where everyone contributes to the affairs of the state without a clear direction of government policy.”
OMO-OJO alleged that the sum of N14bn was spent to design a website tagged Edo Open Portal and that Governor OSHIOMHOLE lost N500m in pursuit of a failed Vice Presidential nomination.
Reacting to allegations raised in the book, OSHIOMHOLE, in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, KASSIM AFEGBUA, said the book was a product of poor scholarship with bad syntax and dominated with tautology, half-truths, outright lies and fictions.
AFEGBUA said the fact that the former Commissioner admitted he was sacked for failure to divulge details of his discussions with chieftains of opposition party shows him as a man of questionable character.
