Security operatives in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, have averted another bomb blast in the troubled city.
The bomb, according to reports, was planted near the office of the Borno state Pilgrims Welfare Board in Maiduguri.
Confirming the development, the spokesman for the Borno state Police Command, VICTOR ISUKU said security operatives have demobilized the materials suspected to be Improvised Explosive Devices, IED.
He said that no life was lost in the incident.
You would recall that no fewer than twenty people were killed after three female suicide members detonated IEDs in Chibok, headquarters of the Chibok local government area of the state last month.
