NNAMDI KANU DENIED BAIL BY JUSTICE JOHN TSOHO

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday declined the bail request from the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and the director of Radio Biafra, NNAMDI KANU.

KANU, DAVID NWAWUSI and BENJAMIN MADUBUGWU are standing for alleged treasonable offences including planned secession of Republic of Biafra from Nigeria.

Justice JOHN TSOHO, who heard the case, ordered that Kanu should be remanded in prison custody on the ground that the accused persons have not shown the court that they would not return to the crime which they were alleged to have committed.

The judge adjourned the trial till February 9, 10, 11 and 12 for trial
