From Eldoret in Kenya comes this report where President MUHAMMADU BUHARI told the global community that it must resolve to act with vigour and more determination against radicalization and extreme ideologies that encourage terrorism.
The President is in Kenya for a three-day state visit but stopped first at Eldoret to attend the memorial service in honour of Kenyan soldiers who were killed by Al-Shabab in Somalia earlier this month.
According to BUHARI, peace loving nations of the world must now come together and deal with the threat posed to global security by terrorism.
A statement issued later by FEMI ADESINA, the presidential spokesman quotes President MUHAMMADU BUHARI as saying that “Nigeria is willing to work with Kenya, other African countries and the global community with a view to defeating these undesirable elements, adding they must take the battle to the terrorists whoever they are and wherever they are”, end of quote.
President BUHARI attended the memorial service in the company of his host, President UHURU KENYATTA and President HASSAN MOHAMMED of Somalia.
