Manchester United have denied reports that they met Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola to discuss the possibility of him replacing current boss, Louis van Gaal.
Reports in France said the meeting took place last week in Paris, but United insist the story is not true.
Guardiola will leave current club, Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and he recently expressed his desire to manage a club in England.
Manchester City are favourites to recruit the Spaniard, but Chelsea and United have also been linked with him.
Van Gaal has come under increasing criticism from both Manchester United fans and the media following United’s struggles the season, with reports in England suggesting that he may quit the club at the end of the season.
