AUSTRALIAN OPEN: Serena Brushes aside Kasatkina

World number one, Serena Williams eased into the fourth round of the Australian Open with a 6-1 6-1 victory over Russian teenager, Daria Kasatkina.

The six-time champion hit twenty-seven winners and just eight unforced errors in the forty-four-minute encounter, setting up a round of sixteen meeting with another young Russian, Margarita Gasparyan.

Men’s top seed, Novak Djokovic was made to work hard for his 6-1 7-5 7-6 victory over Italian, Andreas Seppi, while sixth seed, Tomas Berdych took down home hope, Nick Kyrgios in four sets to join the fourth round train.

The big upset in the men’s draw today has been the exit of former US Open champion, Marin Cilic, who fell in straight sets to Spaniard, Roberto Bautista-Agut.
