SARAKI ORDERS REVIEW OF SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS IN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

 

Senate President BUKOLA SARAKI has directed a review of all security arrangements in the National Assembly.

 

This according to his office is to keep the parliament abreast of the current challenges in the country.

 

The Special Adviser to the Senate President on Security, Retired Major General SALEH MAINA in a statement in Abuja on Sunday explained that the review of the security around the complex was part of the periodic plans to ensure better protection of lives and property.

 

MAINA said the latest security strategy would also help to improve on the existing arrangement, adding with that aspect of the new plan, all legislators, members of staff of the National Assembly and visitors must wear an identity tag.
