Chelsea captain John Terry went from zero to hero as he scored an own goal and grabbed a 98th-minute equalizer in a thrilling 3-3 Premier League draw with Everton earlier today.
The Toffees took the lead when Terry put the ball through in his own net, after which Kevin Mirallas put the visitors 2-0 up.
Diego Costa reduced the margin and Cesc Fabregas’s made the comeback complete for Chelsea as the game looked likely to end in a 2-2 draw.
Ramiro Funes Mori restored Everton’s lead in the 90th minute only for Terry to back-heel in from close range – although he was a yard offside.
Chelsea, remain 14th and are currently six points above relegation places but could have the margin reduced to four should Swansea win at home to Watford on Monday.
The result is their fourth draw in five Premier League games since Guus Hiddink returned to Stamford Bridge last month.
The Blues are still without a home league win under the interim manager and have conceded five goals in the last two games.
