Boko Haram fighters have attacked the one hundred and twenty Task Force Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Yobe state.
The attack came barely hours after the Interior Minister, ABDULRAHMAN DAMBAZAU led a delegation to Yobe state to assess the extent of destruction by the Boko Haram militants.
The militants, according to reports, attacked the Army base stationed in Goniri town in Gujba local government area.
Another report says the militants were repelled by soldiers who engaged them in gun-battle.
The spokesman of the Twenty Seven Task Force Brigade in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, Lieutenant GEORGE OKUPE said some of the militants were sighted by security forces round Tashan-Fulani village in Tarmuwa local government area of the state which is thirty five kilometers north of Damaturu.
