Liverpool have signed defender Steven Caulker on loan until the end of season from Championship side QPR- as the Reds look to cope with a series of injuries to key central defenders.
The 24-year-old Caulker was on loan at Southampton – but that agreement has been cancelled to allow him to move to Anfield.
He is eligible for the match against Arsenal.
Klopp believes Caulker’s height is ideal for the club, given the tendency of opponents to use long balls against his side.
The Reds also recalled Tiago Ilori from a loan spell at Aston Villa to play in the FA Cup third-round 2-2 draw at Exeter last Friday.
Caulker, who won his one England cap in 2012, will hope to revive a career that has stalled after moving on loan to St Mary’s Stadium following promising spells with Tottenham Hotspur and Cardiff City.
He also had loan spells at Yeovil Town, Bristol City and Swansea City during his time at White Hart Lane.
