PDP members have taken to the streets, protesting what they called injustice visited on leaders of the party by the APC-led administration.
The protesters particularly kicked against the arrest and prosecution of some of its members by the EFCC for alleged corrupt practices.
They said the attempt by EFCC to investigate them is aimed at rubbishing the party.
Speaking on behalf of the protesters, former Minster of Mines and Steel Development under the administration of President UMARU YAR’ADUA, SARAFA TUNJI said the ongoing anti-corruption crusade is witch-hunting of perceived political opponents by the President MUHAMMADU BUHARI-led administration.
It might interest you to know that the spokesman of the PDP, OLISA METUH is in EFCC’S net while former National Chairman of the party, HALIRU BELLO MOHAMMED and his son, ABBA are in court over monies traced to their accounts by the EFCC, suspected to have been paid by the office of the National Security Adviser.
