Nigeria’s Coach Sunday Oliseh has admitted his team are not yet ready for the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Angolan club Palancas Negras in a warm-up match in Pretoria on Wednesday.
Oliseh who faces his first major test in charge of Nigeria at the tournament reserved for players who feature in their home leagues, has said his team have had to cope with injuries and high altitude.
As part of preparations, the Eagles will observe Friday as a rest day before they resume training in Pretoria the following day.
They are scheduled to play another warm-up match against Cote d’Ivoire on Monday.
Reports have it that Sunday Oliseh faces a starting 11 selection headache after a number of players impressed in Wednesday’s friendly including reserve Goal Keeper Femi Thomas, who saved a penalty in the first half.
