The home-based Super Eagles could have one more tune-up match added to their preparations for the African Nations Championship, after head coach, Sunday Oliseh was approached by Pretoria-based Premier Soccer League side, University of Pretoria Football Club for a friendly match.
Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye said the coach of the university team approached Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh on Sunday over the prospects of a match against the Tuks.
The Eagles already have friendlies against Angola and Ivory Coast in their itinerary, as they put finishing touches to their preparations for the tournament which kicks off in Rwanda on January 16.
Ibitoye also commended the facilities at the team’s Pretoria camp, while praising the intensity of the training so far.
Meanwhile, the home-based Eagles had a surprise visitor on Sunday, as South African football legend, Ephraim Matsilela ‘Jomo’ Sono was at their training camp to wish them good luck.
