The Lagos State Fire Service has expressed concerns over what it calls an alarming rate of fire outbreak in different parts of the metropolis.
State Director of Fire and Safety Services, RASAQ FADIPE who was reacting said his men had responded to at least eight distress calls on fire outbreaks yesterday alone.
He named Oke Ira, LSDPC Housing Estate in Ebute-Metta, NEPA office in Lekki, Magodo phase one and Opebi under bridge in Ikeja as some of the areas that recoded fire outbreaks.
RAQAS FADIPE blamed carelessness on the part of residents for cause of most of the outbreaks.
He also told correspondent TAIWO OLAPADE that the current harmattan season had made this worse.
