Italian champions, Juventus closed the gap on table-toppers Inter Milan with a 3-2 victory at Carpi. The home side took a surprise lead through Marco Borriello, but Juventus hit with Mario Mandzukic, who volleyed in the leveller, before heading home Patrice Evra’s cross to put the champions 2-1 up.
Paul Pogba added a third, while defender Leonardo Bonucci scored a late own goal.
Juventus’ seventh league victory in a row means they are now just three points behind leaders, Inter, who suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Lazio late on Sunday night.
Inter and Juventus are split on the log by Napoli and Fiorentina, who both won on Sunday to move within one point of the top of the table.
